The trail starts from the main road to Monchiero (in front of the Pieve), it is a tree-lined road that winds through the meadows and that goes up to the little village Santa Lucia, a village so dear to Luigi Einaudi, who was a President of the Italian Republic. In San Giacomo is located the beautiful eighteenth-century estate the private home of the President and his family and on the hill the farm of the XVIII century belonging to him. Leaving the path behind you can visit the little church of this village. Walking the paved road for about 1 km, you will meet a green path that leads to the top of the hill called “Bricco San Bernardo”. Stop here and enjoy the landscape and the tranquility of this lovely place. This is a nice rink walk.
