Markets
Events, festivals, marketplaces in Dogliani enhance the old values of this town that has always had strong bond with its history and its territory and at one time is keeping up with the times thanks to all the cultural events that here place, that makes the town , at the same time, protagonist of these events.
All the fixed events during the year reflect the taste for folklore and for the feast of this ancient village of the Lower Langa, straddling the territory of Monregalese and the one of Albese. Here traditions are linked to the rhythms of the territory and to the peasant world and, therefore, are intensely lived by the locals.
The Langhe Farmers Market
The Langhe Farmers’ Market is a project born in 2010 involving about twenty agricultural producers of Dogliani, Somano, Mombasiglio, Paroldo, Briaglia, Bastia, Cissone, Murazzano, Mombarcaro, Farigliano, Marsaglia, Piozzo, Sale San Giovanni, Sale Langhe, and Benevagienna.
It takes place from April to December every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in piazza Umberto I.
This association aims of course the promotion of the territory and the direct sale of local agricultural products, supporting the development of an entire agro-food district of excellence. You will find only local products cultivated with environmentally friendly methods to protect health and the environment: on the stalls of this market you will find products using integrated pest management practices, organic and biodynamic farming grown without the use of artificial fertilizers or chemical insecticides.
Some restaurateurs in the area (such as “ Il Verso del Ghiottone” and “Osteria Battaglino” in Dogliani, “La speranza” in Farigliano and “L’ Osteria del peso” in Belvedere Langhe) have joined the project showing immediate interest in using the local products of the farmers Market in the dishes of their cuisine
